James was an associate member of the University Socialist Club and gave a talk at the University of Malaya in Singapore. The main thrust of the talk was how to manage the complex social, cultural and political factors in order to realise a just and equitable society which is the goal of socialism.
The basic political interests of the communal parties prevent them from breaking through their communal limits and becoming a national party – a party effective for nation making.
